IVAN Production was founded in 1995.

At the present time, one of the main directions of the company is full scale film production.  This has led to the creation of a separate unit called the IVAN, Russian Film Company.

The impetus for this came from Hooked, the movie and its sequel (Hooked and Hooked. Next level), made by director, Pavel Sanaev.  In 2010 the director's cut of the film was awarded three prizes at the LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL.  At the LOS ANGELES CINEMA FESTIVAL in Hollywood, the film took five prizes.  The film won the award for "Best Special Effects" at the NEW YORK CITY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL and at the SYDNEY SCIENCE FICTION AND FANTASY FILM FESTIVAL.

Additionally, the first part was recognized as the "Best Russian Action" film of 2009 by the public in the non-profit Russian Internet Movie Awards GEORGES vote.
